SMART Goal #6

This week I plan to go through my sources as well as update the “My Sources” page on my website.

Reflection

This week I made a lot of progress while going through my online sources. I mainly spent my time taking notes on the articles on the webpages, and essentially created a detailed outline for each cite. Several of my sources included step by step suggestions as to how to go about making an infographic, as well as finding and going through information. Because of this, I feel that I have a much better handle on how I'm going to make infographics this year. Since a major feature is usually some representation of statistics, frequently bar charts or pie graphs, I’ve been trying to come up with what kind of statistics I could include for graphics about school clubs. (This was the main section Ms. I said needs major revamping). So far, I thought that I could compare the representation of each grade level within the club. For the language clubs I could compare the number of students from each language level, or the amount of students enrolled in that language’s course to how many are in the club. Similarly, for math team I could do the same but with math levels instead. In terms of competitive clubs, like robotics and math team, I could also include a summary of their competitions. My goal is to be able to give the clubs more depth within the yearbook, rather than simply having a photo of the members and/or officers alongside their names.
