SMART Goal #15
This week my goal is to complete as many infographics as possible and to do my best to reach the yearbook deadline.
Reflection
These past two weeks have been incredibly busy. Last week, I ended up having an overnight college visit on Tuesday and Wednesday, which completely messed up my plans to work on my infographics in school. Unfortunately, because of this, I was unable to complete any of my graphics in time for the yearbook deadline on the 18th. However, I did manage to get started on the Red Cross Club infographic at my house over vacation. Prior to this, I had been unable to work on my project at home since I didn’t have Adobe Illustrator, but I finally caved and started a thirty-day free trial. If the thirty days run out before I have completed what I need to at home, I’ll probably end up getting a monthly subscription until I finish.
My next step is going to be finding an alternative use for my infographics. Since I can no longer print them in the yearbook, I want to see if there is any other use for infographics about school clubs within the school itself before deciding whether or not to expand my range of topics. Hopefully I will be able to get in touch with Mr. Winslow to see if they might be useful for a handout during “Step Up Day” for the eighth-graders in the Spring, or possibly for Freshman Orientation in the Fall. If there isn’t really any use for them through guidance, I’d like to take a break from focusing on clubs and instead work on infographics about the other Senior Seminar projects this year, or maybe even simply about the class itself.
