SMART Goal #13
This week my goal is to complete peer-reviewing Teresa’s and Matt’s websites, as well as make updates on my own website based on the feedback I receive.
Reflection
This week, I found the peer reviews for our websites super helpful. Teresa gave me some really great advice about my weekly updates page. Looking at hers, I noticed that her weekly update page was more of a blog, and each update was a specific article post. I really liked this idea, especially how neat her posts looked with the read more button after a few lines so that the page wasn’t cluttered with text. This is something I began to play around with with my own website, and I’m excited to see if it helps clean up my webpages as well. Though Teresa was the only one to give me any feedback this week, Matt’s website inspired me with a few other ways to alter my own.
I’ve realized that there is just so much going on in the background of my website that it takes away from the main aspects I want users to focus on, such as the text itself, as well as any images I add. Because of this, I’m going to try a few different layout and design ideas to make the overall aesthetic more clean and just generally pleasing to the eye. I also had the opportunity to come up with four to five questions for several more clubs, similar to those I asked the robotics team, so hopefully I will be able to hand those out sometime next week.
