SMART Goal #10
This week I need to meet with Ms. I and the yearbook staff to figure out if I will be able to collaborate with them for my project this year.
Reflection
This week, I met with the yearbook staff during lunch to go over the work I will be doing for them, as well as for my project, this year. After presenting my general ideas to the staff, they sounded super enthusiastic about using my infographics for the club pages in the yearbook. I asked them for a list of clubs to focus on, which they happily provided. Some of the key groups I’m going to focus on are the National Honors Society, the Red Cross Club, and the US FIRST robotics team. These all have fairly high numbers in terms of membership, which will be helpful in terms of gathering information. For NHS, I can focus on statistics of service hours; for Red Cross club, I can focus on their fundraising efforts, as well as their annual blood drive; and for robotics, I can follow their progress in terms of their competitions as I originally planned to do. During our meeting, I also asked what the earliest deadline I may need to meet will be. Fortunately, I won’t need to have anything completed for the first deadline, which is within a few weeks. However, I may need to have several of the infographics underway by mid January, and the deadline will likely be sometime in February. After Thanksgiving break, Ms. I is going to give me a runthrough of how the Josten’s site works, as well as create an account for me.
