Gathering Loose Ends

SMART Goal #5

My goal this week is to check in with Ms. I on my current project plan, as well as continue to create my website.

Reflection

This week, I made a lot of progress with my website. I made a header image for the home page on Illustrator, which was a lot of fun because I haven’t used that program since second semester last year. It’s essentially just a word graphic, saying “Information,” “Graphic Design,” and “Infographic.” I decided to make it because it derives the main topic of my project - Infographics - in a relatively simple image. In addition, I was able to familiarize myself with the different techniques for combining font styles, as well as some basic formatting skills. I also worked on some of the formatting for my “Weekly Updates” page, and continued to update it with the reflection from last week as well as this week’s goal. Unfortunately, I did not complete the other half of my goal: getting in touch with Ms. I. I was unable to get in contact with her in person, so I’m likely going to just email her and try to speak with some of the head staff members for the yearbook. I also still need to try out the new programs I got on my computer at home, so hopefully that’s something I’ll be able to work on next week as well.
